This week, I’m teaming up with Nestlé® Crunch® to bring you a fresh perspective on a classic candy bar. With a crunchy, crispy, and creamy bite, Nestlé® Crunch® has been a fun alternative to plain chocolate for over 75 years. Even better, all Crunch® products are made with real milk chocolate, sustainable cocoa beans, and have no artificial colors or flavors!

My buddies, Daniel Pryde and Jake Schaefer, helped me put together this awesome stop motion featuring Crunch® Single Bar, Fun Size Bars, and Buncha Crunch®. I decided to put these delicious candy bars to use in a super simple chocolate sauce.

11 ounce bag of Nestlé® Crunch® Fun Size Bars

2 Tablespoons coconut oil

Unwrap and break in half an entire 11 ounce bag of Nestlé® Crunch® Fun Size Bars. Using a double boiler, stir over rapidly boiling water until the chocolate melts completely. Remove from the heat and stir in the coconut oil until thoroughly and completely combined. Cool slightly before using. Pretty simple, right!?

I used this super simple chocolate sauce in place of ganache on a three layer Devil’s Food Cake. To do this, I gave the cake a quick crumb coat and sandwiched the layers together using a chocolate buttercream frosting. After bringing the cake to a chill in the refrigerator, I poured the sauce over the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.

2015-09-14_00012015-09-14_0003There’s just something sexy about melted chocolate, isn’t there? It’s ok. You can admit it.

I also used this super simple chocolate sauce to take my ice cream sundaes to the next level. Try it. You’ll thank me later. 2015-09-14_0005
